It is with a heavy heart that we post this. The WV Pumpkin Festival Board voted Tuesday evening to cancel the 2020 festival. The board is heartbroken over this decision. We have been monitoring the restrictions and guidelines set forth by the state government for fairs and festivals and we feel like there is no way for us to put on the festival that all of you have come to love. We think it is in the best interest of our guests, vendors and volunteers, health and safety, to make this decision. This cancellation includes the festival and all pre-festival activities including the pageants and parade.
All vendors who have paid for booths will be refunded their money beginning this week. If you have not received your money by August 15 please contact us through messenger, email – [firstname.lastname@example.org] or call the main office at 304-743-8774.
The board is considering the possibility of offering virtual events and socially distanced activities. Stay tuned for details as they will be announced on our website and Facebook page as we work out the particulars.
We know so many of you were hoping that the festival would go on, including us, but we will be back next year better than ever!
Limited spaces available. Contact Bobbie Damon by September 1, 2020.
